Peptide Clinical Trials: 36 Records & Study Finder (2026)

By Peptide Care Index · Updated October 2026

This peptide clinical trials reference covers 36 selected study records, with exact drug names, recruitment labels and links to the original entries. Peptide Care Index’s October 2026 check found posted registry results for 13 of them. Use the tables to find a study—and see which similar names must stay separate. View the checked records.

What are the key peptide clinical trials statistics?

  • 36 unique study records are included in Peptide Care Index’s selected ClinicalTrials.gov reference, checked October 14, 2026. This is a reference set, not a count of all peptide trials worldwide. Full table.
  • 13 of the 36 selected records have posted ClinicalTrials.gov summary results, according to our October 14, 2026 extraction. The other 23 do not have posted registry results; that does not mean no paper or other report exists. Results check.
  • 3 of the 36 selected records carry the registry label “Recruiting” as checked October 14, 2026. One other is “Active, not recruiting.” Neither a listing nor an old status guarantees a place at a study site. Recruiting records.
  • 3 retained BPC-157-related records have no posted registry results, according to our October 14, 2026 check: one old status-unknown record, one completed gummy-formulation record, and one planned surgical-recovery study. A separate unresolved record is held out. BPC-157 records.
  • 19 selected records concern full-length thymosin beta-4 formulations, according to our October 14, 2026 classification. We keep them separate from the TB-500 fragment; they are not 19 TB-500 trials. Molecule check.
  • 88 participants are reported as actual enrollment in the completed CB4211 study, NCT03998514, whose last registry update was May 11, 2021. CB4211 is a MOTS-c analogue, not native MOTS-c. Record.
  • No eligible named KPV intervention record was found in our documented KPV and synonym searches, checked October 14, 2026. This is a scoped registry-search finding, not proof that no human research exists anywhere. Search scope.
  • 1 excluded TB-500 search result explicitly describes itself as fictional in its own registry summary. We do not count NCT07487363 as a real recruiting study. Exclusion evidence.

Which peptide clinical trials should I look up?

Start with the exact molecule, then check the study’s status and results. The 36 selected records below cover several different research jobs. A related molecule, a skin-care blend and a study measuring a peptide in blood do not answer the same question.

Which selected peptide trials are listed as recruiting?

Three included records are labeled Recruiting in the registry snapshot. Confirm the current position with the study site. A study-level label can remain unchanged after its listed completion estimate, and a site can have no open places even while the wider trial is recruiting.

To find peptide clinical trials near you, open a record, check Contacts and Locations, and read the site-specific status. Ask whether that site is accepting people with your condition. Review participation with your own healthcare professional. NIH’s trial-finding guide explains this process.

What do all 36 selected trial records say?

These tables preserve the registry’s phase, status, enrollment type and last update. “Reported actual” means the sponsor’s registry entry reports actual enrollment; it is not our independent count of people treated. “Estimated” is a plan. Enrollment is for the whole study and can include placebo or comparator participants.

An NCT number identifies one registry record. A Phase 2 / Phase 3 entry is one study with a combined phase label. “Not applicable” and a missing enrollment type remain as reported. The downloadable CSV adds full titles, interventions, sponsors, countries, source URLs and interpretation notes.

Full-length thymosin beta-4 formulation records

The 19 records below are grouped as thymosin beta-4 formulations. They stay separate from the TB-500 fragment. RGN-259 is an eye formulation; RGN-137 is a skin gel; RGN-352 is an injectable formulation. The route and product matter as much as the family name. RegeneRx’s RGN-137 description and NCT01387347 support these product distinctions.

Does a completed trial mean results are available?

No. 13 of the 36 selected records have posted ClinicalTrials.gov summary results; 23 do not. Completion, results posting and journal publication are separate checks. The registry’s results flag does not tell us whether the treatment worked.

Two useful checks are the retatrutide phase 2 paper, which reports 338 adults, and the SELECT semaglutide paper, which reports 17,604 participants. Both correspond to records here with posted registry results. Their findings belong to their own populations and designs; they do not prove a benefit for every peptide.

To look for results, check the record’s Results Posted area and then search its NCT number in PubMed. NLM explains how the registry separates record details and results and how to find published trial results. We have not run a systematic publication search for every record in this reference.

Why do peptide trial counts disagree?

A count changes when its rules change. This reference counts 36 unique NCT records, including clearly labeled related molecules and formulations. It does not add the same master protocol once for retatrutide and again for tirzepatide, or turn a study measuring a peptide into a study giving that peptide.

Why do peptide trial counts disagree?

What do the BPC-157 clinical trial records show?

The three retained BPC-157-related records have no posted registry summary results as checked October 14, 2026. They are not three completed randomized trials. One is status unknown, one reports a completed gummy-formulation study, and one has not started recruiting.

  • PCO-02 / Bepecin, NCT02637284: Phase 1; estimated enrollment 42; current status Unknown. The last record update was December 22, 2015. Do not turn that estimate into 42 people proved to have received BPC-157.
  • Parlay Recover Peptide Gummies, NCT07752381: a single-group, unblinded formulation study; reported actual enrollment 40; no registry results. The entry was first posted August 7, 2026, after its reported November 1, 2025 completion. Its “dietary supplement” intervention label does not establish lawful supplement status or drug approval.
  • Rotator-cuff recovery, NCT07803250: Phase 1, Not yet recruiting; structured estimated enrollment 30; planned start January 2027. Its narrative mentions a different participant count and conflicts over the comparator. We preserve the structured estimate and make no claim about the comparator design.

A fourth broad-name match, NCT07437547, is held out for the provenance reason below. This is why our retained count differs from an unfiltered four-record search. BPC-157 news has a separate broad-name record snapshot. For the access question, how to get BPC-157 separates trial participation from commercial offers. The BPC-157 capsules page addresses the formulation question; an oral-study plan does not establish that every oral product works.

Are TB-500 trials the same as thymosin beta-4 trials?

No. The 19 thymosin beta-4 formulation records in this reference are not counted as 19 trials of the TB-500 fragment. Full-length thymosin beta-4 and the fragment are different molecular forms, and eye, skin and injectable products answer different questions. FDA’s TB-500 briefing document and the RGN-259 registry description identify the forms.

The TB-500 record NCT07487363 is excluded because its summary explicitly calls it fictional. A long list of thymosin beta-4 trials cannot fix that problem. Nor can an eye-drop result establish that a fragment injection helps an injured tendon.

Is CB4211 a human trial of MOTS-c?

CB4211 is a related analogue—a modified molecule—not native MOTS-c. Its completed Phase 1 record, NCT03998514, reports actual enrollment of 88 and no posted registry summary results. CohBar’s SEC-filed description identifies the analogue relationship.

Our MOTS-c searches also returned studies that measure the body’s own MOTS-c, rather than administer it. Those are excluded from direct intervention evidence. Native-MOTS-c record NCT07505745 is held out pending provenance checks; we do not turn that decision into a claim that no human MOTS-c research exists anywhere.

Did the search find a KPV human trial?

No eligible intervention record was retained from our KPV, Lys-Pro-Val and Lysine-Proline-Valine searches on October 14, 2026. The exact KPV intervention search returned zero records. The two expanded names each returned four broad matches, but the reviewed records did not administer the named KPV peptide.

The search manifest gives the exact queries. The exclusion log gives the record-level reasons. This finding covers those registry searches; it does not cover every registry, unpublished experiment or paper worldwide.

Does the GHK-Cu record test GHK-Cu alone?

No. NCT05932732 reports 27 actual participants in a device-plus-multiingredient treatment. Its ReGen-GF booster includes Cu-GHK and other ingredients. The design cannot isolate GHK-Cu’s effect, and its registry-reported Phase 4 label does not establish FDA approval of GHK-Cu.

A separate X39 patch record measures circulating GHK/GHK-Cu. That is not administration of the peptide, so it is in the exclusion log. The standalone GHK-Cu gel record from the sponsor discussed below is held out, not silently counted as an available trial.

Which records were excluded or held out?

The specialist-search log contains 13 excluded or held-out matches. One explicitly describes itself as fictional. Three others are held out as an editorial judgment pending independent provenance checks; we have not proved those three fictional. The remaining entries do not administer the named peptide.

What do Phase 1, Phase 2 and Phase 3 mean?

Phase describes a study’s role in drug development; status describes where that study stands. A Phase 3 study may be recruiting, completed or stopped. Neither the phase field nor a registry listing is a drug-approval decision.

What do Phase 1, Phase 2 and Phase 3 mean?
PhaseMain question, in plain words
Phase 1How does the drug behave in people, and what safety issues appear?
Phase 2What early evidence is there of benefit and side effects in the target condition?
Phase 3Do larger studies support benefit and define risks in a specific population?
Phase 4Research after approval in the usual drug-development sequence; a user-entered phase label alone does not verify a product’s approval
Not applicableThe registry does not assign a standard drug-development phase to that record

Source: FDA’s clinical research overview; record fields remain as reported. The table describes purpose, not a fixed study size or a guarantee of study quality.

For the separate regulatory question, see is BPC-157 FDA approved?. NIH also states that listing a study does not mean the U.S. government has evaluated it.

How was this peptide clinical trials reference built?

We read complete ClinicalTrials.gov API records on October 14, 2026. The final reference combines 24 retained records from a specialist molecule screen with 12 selected drug-development and human-study examples. We deduplicated the combined set by NCT number: 24 + 12 = 36 unique records.

  1. Define the job. Cover BPC-157, the TB-500/full-length thymosin beta-4 distinction, MOTS-c/CB4211, KPV and GHK-Cu, then add examples across peptide drug development. We did not attempt an all-peptide census.
  2. Search the specialist names. The manifest records 28 term queries, including aliases and formulation codes. Each query’s full returned record set was read; none needed a second page. This uncapped specialist retrieval does not make the separately selected broader examples exhaustive.
  3. Check the intervention. Read names, other names, ingredient descriptions, summaries and study design. Keep an analogue, formulation or multi-drug study visibly labeled. Remove measurement-only matches and apply the stated integrity exclusions.
  4. Extract the registry fields. Copy NCT ID, phase, status, enrollment count and type, sponsor, record-update date and results flag. Keep the sponsor’s status-verification month separate from our check date. The API field metadata documents these fields.
  5. Add the selected examples. Read the 12 exact NCT records in the download, rather than using keyword-search counts as a proxy for the broader peptide field. The SYNERGY-Outcomes record is counted once, although it lists more than one drug.
  6. Count only this set. Results posted: 13 Yes and 23 No. Recruiting: 3. We do not sum enrollment into a total of people treated or use this selected set to estimate the whole field.
  7. Preserve the evidence. The download carries record URLs and check dates. The companion exclusion log, specialist-query manifest and source snapshots preserve the scope and decisions behind the page.

Our methodology and editorial standards describe the publication’s wider standards. No clinician review is claimed for this reference.

What can this dataset tell us—and what can’t it?

It can show what the 36 selected registry records reported when checked. It cannot prove that a study took place exactly as described, that a site has an open place, or that a treatment is safe or effective. Sponsors and investigators supply registry information, as NLM explains.

This is not a systematic review, an approval list, a ranking of peptides, or a complete survey of global trial registries. It leaves out many peptide medicines, indications and records. The broader examples were selected for useful comparisons, so the 13-of-36 results count is not a general reporting-rate estimate.

Missing registry results do not prove missing publications. Reported actual enrollment is not the number exposed to the active drug. A trial of an eye drop, a blend, an analogue or a specific disease population does not establish the result for a different product or use.

If you are checking a clinic’s access claim, Find My Peptide Path helps you prepare questions about the exact product and source. It is a self-guided research resource, not a trial-enrollment service.

How can I cite this page and download the data?

For the original classification and selected-record counts, cite Peptide Care Index and name the snapshot date. For a trial’s design or result, cite its registry record or original paper as well. This preserves the difference between our analysis and the underlying research.

What else do people ask about peptide clinical trials?

How many peptide clinical trials are there?

This page contains 36 selected records, not a worldwide total. An all-peptide count needs a stated molecule list, aliases, registry scope, intervention-screening rules and deduplication. A raw search total cannot answer that question on its own.

Can I join a peptide clinical trial?

Three included records are labeled Recruiting in this snapshot. Eligibility depends on the trial and site; the study team must confirm it. Use the official record’s contacts rather than treating a paid clinic consultation or product purchase as trial enrollment.

Are there BPC-157 human clinical trials?

There are registered BPC-157-related study records. The three retained here have no posted registry results and have very different designs and status labels. Their existence does not establish an effective treatment, and this registry screen is not a count of every human BPC-157 publication.

Is a peptide with an NCT number FDA approved?

No approval conclusion follows from an NCT number. It identifies a registry record. NIH says a listing does not mean the U.S. government has evaluated the study; drug approval is a separate question.

Does “no results posted” mean the peptide does not work?

No. It means no summary results are posted in the registry record checked here. It does not prove a negative result, no publication, or no human experience; those require separate evidence checks.
