# Peptide clinical trial reference: data dictionary

Snapshot checked: October 14, 2026. `peptide-clinical-trials.csv` contains 36 selected unique NCT records. It is not a census or a systematic literature review.

| molecule_group | Our editorial grouping, including separate analogue and formulation groups. Not a regulator's classification. |
| relationship | Named molecule, analogue, related full-length peptide, formulation or multi-drug relationship. |
| study_title | Registered brief title, retained from the primary record. |
| interventions | Registered intervention names, including comparators. It is not a list of only active peptides. |
| formulation_or_population | Short editor-supplied route/formulation or population description. See the full record for eligibility and methods. |
| conditions | Conditions reported in the registry. |
| study_type | Registry study type. All included rows are interventional records. |
| phase_raw | Registry phase code; combined phases remain one record. NA means Not applicable. |
| status_raw | Exact overall status code, independent of phase. |
| last_known_status | Previous status supplied when the current status is Unknown; blank when not supplied. |

`excluded-and-held-records.csv` records 13 decisions from the specialist screen. Its fields are `nct_id`, `query_group`, `brief_title`, `reason_excluded`, `source_url`, and `checked_date`. “Held out” is an editorial decision pending provenance checks; it is not proof a record is fictional. This log is not a complete screen of every record for every broader peptide medicine.

`specialist-search-manifest.csv` preserves 28 exact queries, match counts, original evidence filenames, hashes and check dates. Original query payloads are included in the package under `source-snapshots/specialist-queries/`. Broader drug examples were selected by exact NCT ID and are not an exhaustive search of those programs.

To reproduce displayed totals, count unique `nct_id`, then group the included CSV by `registry_results_posted` or exact `status_raw`. Do not count exclusions. Do not add enrollment fields together. The master protocol NCT07165028 counts once, even though it contains more than one drug.

The classification text and chart are Peptide Care Index's original contribution. Underlying records, papers and third-party material retain their own attribution and terms.
